Description of project/s:

1. Basic beginning machine sewing for those with no experience: becoming familiar with the machine and sewing terms. Straight sewing and square corners. Participants will make a gingham potholder. Amount of time: two 2-hour sessions. Materials needed: sewing machine, thread, scissors, ruler or tape measure, pins. Suitable for ages 9-90.
Cost: $125.00


2. Sewing for those familiar with a sewing machine. Participants will make a reversible tote bag. Amount of time: one 2-2.5 hour session. Materials needed: sewing machine, 1 yard medium weight fabric, matching thread, scissors, ruler or tape measure, pins. Suitable for ages 9-90.
Cost: $75.00

Number of participants: 4 –12, limited to space. No more than 2 children per adult.

Location: Community hall, library, church hall, etc. Tables are necessary—no more than 4 persons per 6 foot table. Electrical outlets must be available.



Payment options: cash or personal check.

Available for classes after January 1, 2010. Three weeks advance notice required.
